Pastor Ben Nistor explains that 'the way of the Lord' is an important theme in the Gospel of Mark because it shows the journey Christ takes to get to the cross. Each Christian is called to follow Jesus Christ on his way. John the Baptist prepared this way for Jesus and gives us an example of loyalty, legitimacy, and lowliness as we embark on Christ's journey. Following Christ on the way of the Lord results in Christ increasing in our lives as we decrease.
